As a specialized relationship counselor, I have been in practice for over 30 years. I have served in private practice, community agencies, in-patient and out-patient clinics and have recently retired from the Department of Defense, serving the military and their families during deployment.
My passion and dedication as a therapist has enabled me to help individuals and families during difficult and stressful times. I specialize in working with couples and have provided intervention and tools in a timely manner enabling them to discover insights and ultimately achieve the relationships they always dreamed of.
I have self-published a workbook "Secrets to a Successful Relationship" which has helped many couples learn new communication skills and develop insights.
I have served as an adjunct professor at community colleges, undergraduate and graduate schools in the departments of Psychology and Alcohol and Drug Studies. I have also enjoyed working as a clinical supervisor for MFT interns and trainees.
I received my education from California Lutheran University where I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I was recognized with the humanitarian award, departmental honors and a graduate assistantship. I continued at CLU and received my graduate degree in Marriage and Family Counseling in 1983
Continuing education has enabled me to develop my knowledge and skills in the areas of treating infidelity, trauma and improving relationships.
During my career, I have served my professional organizations:
Past President of the California Marriage and Family Therapists, Inland Empire
Received the 2006 Outstanding Chapter Leadership Award
Past Clinical Member, California Marriage and Family Therapists
